1921 GUCCI CAFE OPENS UP AS THE WORLD'S FIRST GUCCI RESTAURANT IN SHANGHAI

Italian fashion brand Gucci launched its first full-service restaurant in Shanghai officially entering the food market and putting its restaurateur ambitions forth. Dubbed, 1921 Gucci Cafe, after the year of the label's foundation, it is located on the fourth floor of the IAPM luxury shopping mall on Huaihai Lu. In fairness, it's worth mentioning that a cafe attached to the Gucci museum in Florence is actually the first food venture of the fashion house.

The Gucci-themed restaurant took two years to complete and is accessible by means of an elevator from the Gucci store in the mall. Inside, cozy couches and intimate table settings accented with a multitude of plush pillows invite any tired and hungry soul. Al fresco tables are also available just a glass wall away from the main dining area. The diners are surrounded by velvet, pillows, and Gucci-emblazoned items. The restaurant offers a wide range of options to satiate gastronomical cravings in true Italian style as the menu is high on Italian cuisine.
