PAPÁ ANDRÉS ALEGRÍA - BRUGAL RUM'S 2015 EDITION BOTTLE

Brugal Rum has launched Papá Andrés Alegría – the second edition of rum exclusive private reserves out of their cellars. The 2015 edition, a blend from the family's private reserve, was created by master blender Jassil Vallanueva Quintana, the family's youngest maestra ronera (master blender), who is just 28 years old — the youngest master of rum in the industry! Papá Andrés Alegría, or Dad Andrew Joy is the most exclusive edition of the Brugal rum, whose value is $1,500 with only 1,000 bottles in circulation, just 97 of which are in the United States.

Papá Andrés Alegría comes in a glass bottle decorated by designer Javier Mariscal in green, white and yellow floral details inspired by colors of the Dominican Republic. Mariscal also illustrated the book that accompanies the bottle and recounts the story of Father Andrew and Brugal. The 40% ABV rum is traditionally golden-amber in color, offering a gentle medley of fruity notes and a smooth, lingering finish. Profits from the bottles will go to a good cause the Brugal Foundation for use in works to reduce poverty in the country. (Dominican Republic)
